Frequently Asked Questions

You can find the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below.

What do I wear?
Clean indoor gym shoes (barefoot for Thai Boxing/K1/Krav Maga as Studio 1 has a matted floor) and clothes that are appropriate and comfortable for exercise.

What do I need to bring?
A towel and water is recommended. All equipment is provided at every class but you are welcome to bring and use your own e.g. boxing gloves, hula hoop etc.

Do I have to buy any equipment or club clothing?
No. Everything you need is provided, but if you choose to purchase your own equipment (e.g.boxing gloves) you are welcome to use it. Some club clothing (e.g. Jai Muay Thai Boxing club) is available to purchase but this is optional, not a requirement.

Do I have to book?
To find out this information, please click on the ‘Classes’ tab, select the class you are interested in attending, scroll to the bottom of its description and it will state ‘Booking Required’ with a Yes or No.

How do I go about booking a class?
At the end of the class description of the one you are interested in, it will provide contact details for that instructor. If it states you need to book, you may either text, phone or email the coach direct.

How much is a class?
Please click on the ‘Price List’ tab on the homepage for a list of all class and course prices. Is there a joining /membership fee? No. All classes are pay as you train.

Is there a contract to sign?
No. There are no contracts and no tie ins.

Do I need to be a member to attend one of your classes?
No. There is no membership at our Centre. Classes are pay as you train.

Do I have to pay upfront for any sessions?
There is only the Pole Fitness courses that require pre-payment due to limited spaces and Kids Camp bookings require a 50% deposit to secure your child’s place. If we host a seminar or event at the Centre that may require a deposit or full payment. All other classes you can just turn up and pay as you train.

I’m a beginner, can I join any class?
Yes. Beginners are welcome in every class. Classes are structured to incorporate all abilities, so don’t worry if you’ve never done it before. If you are new to a class your instructor will speak to you prior to the session to discuss any injuries and assess your current fitness levels.

I’m not very fit. Will I manage the classes OK?
Yes. You can take any class at your own pace and work to your own ability.

What classes do you run for children and families?

  • The ABA Olympic Boxing is mixed adults and children from 10 years upwards.
  •  Thai Boxing classes are run over two separate age groups: 4 to 7 year olds and 7 to 14 year olds. 15 years and upwards attend the adult sessions.
  • Family Intensity is mixed adults and children from 6 years upwards.
  • Family Skiptrix is mixed adults and children
  • Children aged 12+ may attend the adult Zumba Fitness classes and adult Bokwa Punch & Strike classes but they must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
  • The School Holiday Kids Camps are run for children aged between 4 and 12. 3 year olds may attend if accompanied by an older brother or sister. All times for the above sessions can be found on our Class Timetable.

Do any classes stop running during the school holidays?

No. All classes continue running throughout school holidays. The only time classes may not be on is if an instructor is on annual leave.

Do you have a car park?
Yes, there is ample free parking.

Do you have a gym facility to use?

No. We only have studios from which we run the classes. There is no separate gym area. Any equipment on site is for use only as part of the classes/instructed training.

How much is it to come and use the equipment?
The equipment can only be used during classes and as part of instructed training.

Do you offer personal
At this current time we are unable to offer personal training.
